Sticky Cinnamon Wings

My love affair with wings
Spices
  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Ingredients
  • Half dozen chicken wings, chopped into 3 parts each
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 4 tbs light soy sauce
  • 4 tbs honey
  • 4 tbs rice vinegar
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1 tbs olive oil (for grilling)

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl (except sesame seeds) and coat each wing with the marinade. Store in Ziploc bag and refrigerate overnight for best flavour, or at least for 2 hours
  2. Oil a grill pan with 1 tbs olive oil on medium-high heat
  3. Grill each side of the wings and turn every 2 minutes, lower the heat to avoid charring the wings
  4. Baste the remaining marinade to wings while grilling, for that extra stickiness!
  5. Sesame seeds char easily so sprinkle when wings are almost cooked
Served with ice cold beer for a perfect weekend afternoon :)
